TIME emerged from a course " LEADERSHIP IN PRACTICE " in which some of the founders were participating, from the ESTUDAR foundation, in September 2017. In this course, themes such as leadership, being the protagonist of their lives, taking projects off the paper and etc. , stimulating the realization of your dreams. One of the tasks of the course was to develop a project and "get it off the ground" in one month, following the progress of members during that period. Having similar ideas, these four university students got together and called five more university students to, in October 2017, found Enactus Rural . Then two more people entered and in December our first selection process was carried out, bringing three more people to the team.
We are a family owned and operated business.
The motivation to assemble the team was to share the same ideals and willingness to impact people by doing good. Together, the founding members were studying and discovering more and more what Enactus was, talking to other teams. All founding members were interested in entrepreneurial actions, and at UFRRJ there was no extension project to carry out these actions. Because Seropédica has many problems, it was an ideal municipality to be explored, which lacks care, with the potential for several projects. And founding Enactus Rural was the way the founders found to really help the city, and put their ideas into practice. In December, after solving the bureaucratic part, the team was made effective by Enactus Brasil. When we started to officially use the name Enactus Rural.
We are a family owned and operated business.
In January 2018 we participated in the first "Summer Training" of Enactus UFRJ, where the training of the cells was carried out. What was great and very important for the team, which was in the structuring period. From there, we started the work.
In March 2018 we held our second Selection Process, much more structured than the first, with interviews and dynamics, with 111 enrolled in one week of registration.
We carried out three Enactus actions: Açaizada, Distribution of plant seedlings, Blood donation in partnership with HEMORIO and Presentation of the team to several different undergraduate courses. In this way, we become better known within the university.
Of our 5 projects, the oldest one today was Re-Objects, which is currently called Resílio. At first, he aimed to bring together artisans to produce new objects from recycling, generating income. But over time it was adapting until it reached the current project. The interline that was a project with local seamstresses, setting up a clothing brand from patchwork, also working with plus size models. And Gardner, who came from the trainee. The project aimed to produce an ecological cleaning material, together with the washerwomen who work at the university so that they could save money on the washes, increasing their profit.
Our team is divided into 5 cells equally important for our development, they are: Executive, Administrative and Financial, People Management, Quality and Innovation and Marketing. The Executive being responsible for representing our team externally; Administrative and Financial (called DAF) responsible for administrative and financial matters that involve the entire team; People management (GP) responsible for taking care of matters relating to team members, from the effective date until their dismissal; Quality and Innovation (IQ) works so that the results are perfected and optimized; and Marketing for the promotion and image of Enactus Rural.
